HWB for Kids

In the 2000 census, there were 2188 residents of Glendale and 210 of them were under the age
of 10.  HWB is dedicated to connecting families with babies and young children in Glendale.  
HWB organizes Family Pizza Night, Story Times, and Play Days at the HWB house or Glendale
playgrounds -
see pictures from HWB children's events.  To join the e-mail list to be notified of

Upcoming HWB for Kids Events:

Story Time
Games, special guests, stories, and more.  Story Time is held in the new Glendale Community
Library every third Saturday of the month at 10:30 AM.

Playgroup
Playgroup for parents and kids through the HWB Community Center meets monthly.                     
 Babies and children of all ages are welcome!  For questions and location details, please send

Summer Concerts on the Green
Summer concerts are held every Saturday evening from mid June to mid August, and there
are always plenty of children at the concerts!

Glendale has several parks and playgrounds that are open to the public.  The Village New
Resident Packet includes a listing of all parks and playgrounds including locations.  See

Washington Park: Located on Washington Avenue 3 blocks west of Congress
Summit Park:  Located on Summit Avenue, 1 block south of Sharon
Lake Park:  Located between N. and S. Lake Avenue adjacent to Congress Avenue
Eckstein Park:  Located on Washington Avenue, 1 block wetst of Congress
Cleveland Park: Located on Cleveland Avenue off of S. Troy Avenue
